Ludwig Wittgenstein
1889–1951
Austrian born thinker, heir to a steel fortune he gave away, who wrote two philosophies: the Tractatus of 1921, then the Investigations, published after his death, which undid it. He lived 1889 to 1951, teaching at Cambridge between wars.
