Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel
1770–1831
German thinker whose system made history the unfolding of reason itself. The Phenomenology of Spirit of 1807 follows consciousness to absolute knowing. He lived 1770 to 1831 and died of cholera at the height of his Berlin fame.
