Hittite Empire

c. 1650–1190 BCE

The Hittite Empire ruled Anatolia from its capital Hattusa. Its kings fought Egypt to a standstill at Kadesh and signed the first known peace treaty. The empire fell in the Bronze Age collapse about 1190 BCE.
