Trump tells a Kentucky rally that a 100 million dollar drug plant investment rides on a Republican win in the midterms
President Trump told a midterm rally in Highland Heights, Kentucky, on Saturday that the Department of War will invest 100 million dollars in the pharmaceutical company Antheia to revive a large drug manufacturing plant in Winchester if Republicans win the November elections, and he repeated his promise of a 5,000 dollar dividend for every adult citizen if voters give Republicans the Senate and the House on November 3, as of October 17.

The promise came with a condition attached, and the president stated the condition out loud. Speaking at Truist Arena on the campus of Northern Kentucky University on Saturday, President Trump said that if Republicans win, the Department of War will invest 100 million dollars in Antheia, a pharmaceutical company, to revitalize a gigantic drug manufacturing facility in Winchester, Kentucky. If Democrats win, he said, they would not be able to do it, and they would not even know what he was talking about.
Representative Andy Barr, the Republican nominee for the United States Senate seat being vacated by Mitch McConnell, joined the president on stage, along with Ed Gallrein, the Republican nominee for Kentucky's 4th Congressional District, where the rally was held. Representatives for Barr and for the Department of Defense did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the Antheia investment, USA Today reported.
Trump also pointed to a 1 billion dollar investment by GE Appliances and the IUE CWA union that will make the Appliance Park in Louisville the largest home appliance manufacturing site in the United States, and he repeated the largest promise of his midterm campaign: a dividend of 5,000 dollars for all adult citizens if voters elect a Republican Senate and a Republican House on November 3. He first made the dividend promise at the Republican National Committee midterm convention, saying it is possible because of the strength and success of the American economy. He has not said how it would be paid for or what it would cost in total, and that gap is now part of the promise itself: the money is described as certain, and the financing is not described at all.
